The standard Dubai desert safari pairs you with a stranger, a stranger’s stranger, and several more strangers — all squeezed into a single Land Cruiser, all watching the same dune from the same window. It is loud, it is fast, it is fine. But it is not the way the desert was made to be experienced.
A private desert safari with GH Trips is the opposite. One vehicle. One chauffeur. Your party only. Pull over for a photograph and the chauffeur stops. Want an extra hour at the camp? The chauffeur waits. Prefer to skip the dune-bashing entirely and go straight to a candlelit dinner overlooking the Empty Quarter? We design the day around you, not around the bus schedule.

Honeymooners and Anniversary Couples
A private safari is the most-photographed couple experience in Dubai outside the Burj Khalifa. We can add a private dinner on a dune, a violinist, rose petals on the carpet, or a champagne sunset — whatever the occasion asks for.
Families with Children
Children love the safari. Parents, less so, when they are stuck on a minibus with no air conditioning and no flexibility. Our private safaris let families set the pace — a calmer drive, child seats fitted, the camp activities chosen by the kids.
VIPs, Diplomats, and High-Profile Visitors
For guests who cannot — or simply do not want to — be in a public group, we run fully private safaris with our own chauffeur, our own vehicle, and access to private dune sections that the group tours never reach.
Photographers and Content Creators
Our photography safaris are timed around the light — not around the bus schedule. We can stop for as long as the shoot requires, change dunes, return at blue hour, and bring you back when the camera is satisfied.
Your chauffeur arrives at your hotel between 14:30 and 16:00, depending on the season’s sunset. The vehicle is a Range Rover, a Cadillac Escalade, or a Toyota Land Cruiser — never a shared minibus. The cabin is cooled, water is poured, and you sit down to a forty-five-minute drive into the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve or the Lahbab dunes, depending on the day’s route.
Our chauffeurs are trained desert drivers with full off-road certifications. They will drive the dunes as gently or as adventurously as you ask. Couples on a quiet anniversary trip usually prefer a calm photographic drive. Families with teenagers often ask for the full dune-bashing experience. Both are equally available. Tell the chauffeur what you would like — there is no schedule to keep.
There is a fifteen-minute window each evening when the desert turns gold, then copper, then violet. Your chauffeur knows the highest dunes to find that light — and he stops the car, opens the door, and lets you stand in silence with the camera. No queue. No “only two minutes please.” The desert is yours for as long as you want it.
Most guests want the desert camp at the end of the drive — for the food, the falcons, the henna, the camel rides, the live music, the shisha. We can arrange entry to the premium camps (Platinum Heritage, Royal Desert, Bab Al Shams Adventures) where the crowd is small and the dining is private. Guests who prefer no camp at all — perhaps a fully private dinner on a dune, with our own caterer and a violinist — that is available too.
The drive back to your hotel is, in our experience, the part most guests remember. The cabin is cool, the sky outside is dark, and the only sound is the quiet hum of the engine. Most of our guests fall asleep on this drive. Your chauffeur drives accordingly.

Always private. Your vehicle, your chauffeur, your party only. No strangers, no shared seats, no group schedule. You decide when to start, when to stop, and when to return.
Pickup is typically between 14:30 and 16:00 — earlier in winter, slightly later in summer — to position you in the desert for sunset. Total duration is usually six to seven hours, but you are welcome to extend or shorten.
Absolutely. Many of our guests prefer a calm photographic drive over the more aggressive dune-bashing style. Just tell the chauffeur and the drive adjusts. We can also enter the camp directly via the paved access route in a Mercedes V-Class if you prefer no dune driving at all.
Yes — and they love it. We fit free child seats on request, drive gently with younger children on board, and the premium camps have child-friendly entertainment. For very young children (under three), we recommend the gentler conservation safari over the dune-bashing route.
Yes, if the drive is gentle. We do not recommend the full dune-bashing experience during pregnancy, but a quiet photographic drive followed by the camp dinner is a popular safari style for expecting couples.
Lightweight, modest clothing that breathes — full-length trousers or a long skirt, a long-sleeved top, and closed shoes for the sand. Bring a light jacket or shawl for the evening, as the desert cools quickly after sunset. Sunglasses are essential.
At the premium licensed camps, yes — wine, beer, and selected spirits are served with dinner. We can confirm the specific camp's licensing at the time of booking. Private dune dinners arranged through us can include a sommelier-curated wine pairing on request.
Yes. We run private desert safaris year-round, with adjusted timings during Ramadan — typically a later pickup and a post-iftar camp dinner. Food and drink are served discreetly inside the vehicle during daylight if needed.
Yes. We arrange overnight stays at Al Maha, Bab Al Shams, Anantara Qasr Al Sarab and Telal Resort. The chauffeur drops you the previous afternoon, you stay overnight in the resort, and we collect you the following day at your chosen time.
Yes — and encouraged. The desert is one of the most photographed locations on the planet for a reason. The chauffeur will stop for as many photographs as you need. For commercial filming or drone use, we can arrange the required permits in advance through the Dubai Film and TV Commission.
Send us your hotel, your dates, and the style of safari you have in mind. Our team will confirm the right vehicle, the right camp (or no camp at all), and a fixed all-inclusive price the same day.
